Podsumowanie sezonu 2025

2025 season summary

Dear Working Equitation fans, we have had a very exciting and eventful 2025 SEASON! A lot happened: our community keeps growing, and Working Equitation is getting stronger and is now well recognised and respected on the Polish equestrian scene.

Below are the most important sporting news of 2025 and a few statistics to show the scale and motivate everyone to keep working on their own development and the development of Working Equitation.

In 2025, Poland hosted 5 COMPETITIONS, including 4 national and 1 international:
14–16/03/2025 Wrocław Partynice – National Competition
23–25/05/2025 EZ Ranch Rumianka – National Competition
10–13/07/2025 Wrocław Partynice – International WAWE Qualifier
12–14/09/2025 WERTERO Moskwa – National Competition
21–23/11/2025 Wrocław Partynice – WE Polish Championships, National Competition
Each of these events attracted a large number of riders, the competitions were supported by numerous sponsors and partners, and the smooth, professional organisation promises at least similar or even bigger fields in future editions.

We are very pleased with the clear increase in the number of PRACTICE COURSES – an excellent way to prepare for competing, with the chance to get feedback from the judges right after the round. Such events have fewer formal requirements than full competitions, so we hope more and more organisers will decide to hold them at their yards.

In 2025 there were two editions of WEP INSTRUCTOR COURSES – in April in Wrocław and in November in Rumianka near Warsaw. In total, 20 people gained WEP Instructor qualifications and joined the growing national register. We are especially pleased that applications for both events came from very different parts of Poland — the Greater Poland, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Opole, Pomeranian and Silesian regions, among others.

Staying with TRAINING, the number of Working Equitation training events has grown noticeably, showing how great the demand is for broadening riders’ knowledge and improving their skills. More and more often these events attract people who normally focus on other equestrian disciplines — but once someone tries it and the seed of Working Equitation sprouts, they usually stay and develop beautifully.

Working Equitation is also gaining popularity thanks to numerous DEMONSTRATIONS held at both equestrian and non-equestrian events. The enthusiastic reactions of the public and the number of people keen to discover this discipline, still new to them, are an excellent sign and fuel for attracting new enthusiasts. A big round of applause and thanks to everyone involved in this work for the development of Working Equitation!

As for sporting results in the 2025 season, the summary can only begin with the top three of the 2025 POLISH CHAMPIONSHIPS (photo):

A big round of applause for all participants! Working Equitation is a very technical discipline that demands great precision and feel from horse and rider, so every success, however small, is a joy and a step towards the goal 🙂

We must also mention the performances of Polish riders abroad. The most important event of the season was undoubtedly the European Championship for Juniors and Young Riders in France, where junior Lena Chlebik competed with IBERICO S VALENTIM. After three trials the pair placed 16th out of 27 riders, with a very high 9th place in the speed test.
Adult riders competed at numerous WAWE Qualifier and WAWE International competitions, appearing on start lists in countries such as the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland and Sweden. Such starts were certainly invaluable for gaining experience and making contacts with the best riders, and for exchanging observations and experiences. We will encourage everyone taking part in international competitions to share their competition plans and impressions afterwards, so that we can keep our fingers crossed and cheer them on 🙂

As for statistics, the season in numbers:
119 registered RIDER licences
124 registered HORSE licences
155 combinations took part in the RANKING, of which 49 were finally classified (at least 2 starts)

Thank you very much for the 2025 season — we hope 2026 will be at least as fruitful!
We look forward to hearing from organisers of Working Equitation events and encourage you to get involved and take part in those already planned — the 2026 COMPETITION CALENDARwill be published soon, but let’s not forget the valuable practice courses, training sessions and courses. In the WE world, 2026 will above all mean the Senior World Championship in Spain in September, where we hope to cheer on a full Polish team!
